Three taps, most days.
Meals with photos and trigger tags. The Bristol stool scale, handled tastefully. Curated symptoms, a nine-region pain map, mood & panic, drinks, notes and meds — all grouped into a calm day timeline.
A gut & anxiety diary for iPhone
Cura is a warm, three-tap diary for meals, symptoms, mood and everything in between. It lives on your phone, works entirely offline, and never loses a day of your story.
Local-first·Private·Yours
Free for iPhone. The practitioner platform runs in any browser.
The app
Logging only works if it actually happens. Cura keeps every entry small, fast and a little bit pleasant — so the record stays honest.
Meals with photos and trigger tags. The Bristol stool scale, handled tastefully. Curated symptoms, a nine-region pain map, mood & panic, drinks, notes and meds — all grouped into a calm day timeline.
One gentle prompt at day's end — how the gut felt, how you felt, anything worth remembering tomorrow.
Trigger candidates, the gut–mood link, weekly patterns. Honest by design: Cura says associated with, never caused by.
Say your day out loud. Cura drafts the entries — meals, symptoms, the lot — you review, tweak and save. Nothing is logged without your say-so.
Snap your plate; AI names the meal and suggests tags. Optional — like every AI feature in Cura.
One-tap JSON export, plus weekly rolling auto-backups. Import merges — it never deletes. Ever.
Quiet nudges that deep-link straight into the evening check-in. Snoozable, skippable, never nagging.
Pick a range, choose sections, hand a clean summary to your GP, dietitian or trainer. Your data, your call — no account linking.
Being built in the open — here's what's next, honestly labelled.
Sleep and heart-rate context alongside your gut days.
See symptoms against your cycle, not in spite of it.
Structured, clinician-guided reintroduction tools.
Same diary, same privacy stance, different pocket.
How it works
No jargon: one person logging real days, one honest engine reading them, and (only when invited) one practitioner acting on them.
Meals with photos, stools, symptoms, mood, meds, drinks, notes. Or say it out loud and the voice agent drafts the entries for you to approve. Everything saves to the phone first, so it works offline, abroad, even logged out.
Deterministic math (not AI guesswork) lines meals and tags up against symptoms: trigger candidates, the gut–mood link, weekly rhythms. It only speaks when there is enough evidence, and it says "associated with", never "caused by".
One optional sign-in syncs every entry to an encrypted backup, so a new phone means nothing lost. Skip it and the app still does everything above.
The practitioner creates a one-time invite code. The client types it into the app, reads exactly what will be shared, and consents. The practitioner gets a read-only mirror of the diary, and either side can disconnect at any time.
A roster shows who is logging and who needs attention. Each client opens into a full timeline and trends, custom check-ins, intake forms, meal plans (AI-drafted, practitioner-edited) and food challenges: small consented experiments with scored results.
Before a session, the platform computes an evidence-gated brief: what changed, what cleared the gates, what is worth asking. AI narrates over those verified figures (it never invents its own), and clients can hand a clean PDF to any GP.
That's the loop: honest logging, honest math, consented sharing, better conversations.
Made for how you work
Meal plans your clients actually see, FODMAP tags, and food–symptom patterns surfaced without spreadsheet archaeology.
Appointment-ready reports, red-flag visibility between visits, and adherence you can see rather than ask about.
A private, local-first diary with a real insights engine — no clinician required, no account required either.
Also at home with PTs, coaches and holistic practitioners — one platform, with template presets per practice type.
The practitioner platform
During development, practitioner access is by invite — how to get started.
Privacy & trust
“Your data lives on your phone. We literally can't lose it.”
Cura works fully offline and logged out. Your diary is stored on your device first — the cloud is an option, not a requirement.
Sign in only if you want an encrypted backup that follows you between phones. Don't, and everything still works.
A practitioner sees your diary only after you accept their invite — read-only, and revocable with one tap.
AI provider keys are held on our servers, never shipped inside the app — and AI features only run when you trigger them.
Not to advertisers, not to insurers, not "anonymised", not ever. There is no version of Cura where your data is the product.
Insights say "associated with", not "caused by". Numbers are computed deterministically; AI only narrates over verified figures.
Cura tracks and finds patterns. It is not a medical device, and it doesn't diagnose, treat or replace professional medical care. If something feels seriously wrong, see a doctor.

Questions
Yes — by architecture, not by promise. Cura is local-first: your diary lives on your phone and the app works fully offline. Cloud sync and practitioner sharing are both opt-in, and we never sell data.
Completely. Logging, insights, reminders, export — everything works with no connection and no account. Only the optional AI features and optional cloud sync touch the network, and only when you use them.
Exactly what you consent to: a read-only mirror of your diary — timeline, photos, trends. They can't edit anything, and their private notes about your care are never mixed into your data.
Anytime, with one tap, no questions asked. Disconnecting stops sharing immediately. Your diary stays yours throughout.
Entirely optional, and off unless you trigger it. When you do use it — naming a meal from a photo, drafting entries from a voice note, narrating a report — your request is processed and the result is shown for your review before anything is saved. Insights numbers are always computed deterministically; AI never invents figures.
No. Cura is a tracking and pattern-spotting tool — it shows associations, not diagnoses, and it doesn't treat anything. It's designed to make conversations with your care team better, not to replace them.
The client app is iPhone-first (iOS). The practitioner platform runs in any modern browser. An Android app is in development.
Sign in to the practitioner platform, create invite codes, and share one with each client. When a client redeems a code in the app and consents, their diary appears in your roster — read-only from day one.
The client app is free and will stay free. Practitioner access is currently by invite while we build — early practices get the Connect tier free and a say in what we ship next. Published pricing is a draft.
